Crate Dispatch & Tracking
Upon secure settlement, the chordophone is nested inside our bespoke 5 kg pine shipping crate and couriered via Moroccan Post with verified international tracking straight to your studio.
Original Yellow Workshop flight crate: reinforced lumber battening, screw-down plywood lid, and dense quilted shock-absorber sleeve.
The 5 kg Solid Wood Transport Crate
Because Gnawa instruments utilize organic camel skin soundboards and thin natural resonant timbers, ordinary cardboard boxes are prohibited. Every instrument leaving our Medina workshop is sealed into a customized timber coffin crate built from scratch.
“My mailman almost died carrying it up the stairs — beautiful solid wooden case! It arrived in flawless condition from Essaouira.”

Maalem Hassan Laaroussi & The Yellow Workshop
Born and trained in the spiritual coastal sanctuary of Essaouira, Maalem Hassan has dedicated four decades to the construction of sacred chordophones. His instruments are favored globally by master Gnawa musicians, ethnomusicology archives, and contemporary bassists for their thunderous acoustic sustain, precise string intonation, and immaculate wood drying processes.
